I am an assistant professor of health policy and strategy Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa. Using qualitative methods, I study how service users create alternative organizational forms in the periphery of the health care, education, and financial systems.

Emotions and client participation in jurisdictional contestation

Professional jurisdictions are increasingly contested by social movements. We theorize how the emotional experience of clients exposed to an episode of jurisdictional contestation leads them to enact different modes of participation in it. Our model contributes to organizational research on professions by shedding light on the emotional dynamics of jurisdictional contestation.

BACKGROUND

After a bachelor’s degree in business administration specialized in applied economics (2005), I worked for 8 years as strategic advisor for large pension plans. In parallel, I completed the Chartered Financial Analyst designation (2009) and an MBA (2014). Then, I completed a PhD in management at HEC Montreal (2019) with Luciano Barin-Cruz and a SSHRC funded postdoctoral fellowship with Samia Chreim.
